PUTRAJAYA: Covid-19 patients in Categories 3, 4 and 5 have gone down in states that have vaccinated more people, says the Health Ministry.
Its director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the reduction has been observed in Labuan, Sarawak, Negri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, where at least 40% of the states’ adult population have been vaccinated.
“In other states where the vaccination rate is lower, the number of hospitalisations and ICU admissions has not gone down,” said Dr Noor Hisham at the ministry’s press conference Friday (Aug 13).
