KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd, the exchange operator, has appointed corporate lawyer Julian Mahmud Hashim as its chief regulatory officer (CRO) today.

       Julian Hashim, 50, is an advocate & solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia and was a founder partner of a leading Kuala Lumpur law firm.

       He joined Bursa Malaysia on Jan 11.

       With the appointment. Inderjit Singh Sohan Singh has ceased his acting capacity. He had served as the acting CRO who was designated as a principal officer since Feb 24, 2020.
