ACTRESS Sharisa Haris (pic) turned many heads at the Dewan Seri Rembau vaccination centre (PPV) in Tampin, Negri Sembilan, when she showed up as Disney character Maleficent to complete the second dose of her vaccine, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Sharisa said she wore the costume to entertain people, especially the frontliners who have been working hard to ensure the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme runs smoothly.
She also made the decision to put on the costume because she longed to entertain the public, as the last time she was involved in filming was at the end of 2019 in the drama series Adellea Sofea.
“I sewed the costume myself. I bought the horns online. I bought the stick at a shop for RM2. I also did my own make-up.
“As soon as we arrived, many people looked excited. In fact, there were PPV staffers who wanted to take pictures of me as mementos to share with their families,” she said.
Sharisa added that she selected the costume as she was a big fan of Maleficent actress Angelina Jolie, not only for her talent but also because of her community work.
