SEREMBAN: Mosques in the state will be allowed to accept up to 150 worshippers at any one time starting Friday (Aug 27), says Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
The Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar said surau would also be allowed to accept up to 30 congregants at any one time with the state moving into Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
He said state authorities had obtained the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir to allow more worshippers into mosques and surau.
"It will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
"However, only those who have completed their Covid-19 vaccination at least two weeks prior will be allowed in," he said in a Facebook post.
Aminuddin said worshippers would have to strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures such as bringing their own prayer mat, observing physical distancing and wearing face masks.
He said mosque and surau committees must ensure worshippers do not violate the SOPs.
