JKJAV: More than 33 million Covid-19 vaccine doses administered so far

       PETALING JAYA: A total of 408,295 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday (Aug 26), bringing the total number of shots given in Malaysia so far to 33,044,202, says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

       In a series of tweets, JKJAV said that 155,669 individuals received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday, while 252,626 got their second jab.

       Johor administered the most first doses with 33,276 doses, followed by Kedah (18,398), Perak (17,532) and Sabah (17,240).

       The most second doses were administered in Selangor with 36,683, followed by Sabah (33,605), Johor (30,940) and Penang (20,968).

       JKJAV added that as of Thursday, a total of 80.9% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 60.2% had received both doses.
