PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 19,628 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (Aug 30), the Health Ministry has confirmed.

       Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a tweet that the country’s total cumulative cases has now reached 1,725,357.

       Selangor remained the state with the most cases, recording 3,567 new infections.

       Cases in other states are as follows: Sabah (2,310), Johor (2,265), Kedah (2,084), Sarawak (2,028), Penang (1,780), Kelantan (1,308), Perak (1,144), Pahang (788), Kuala Lumpur (672), Terengganu (544), Melaka (395), Negri Sembilan (269), Perlis (71), Putrajaya (41) and WP Labuan with two.
