       TEENAGER Ilakkiya Jeyaraman, who was born on National Day, has won 53 international awards at only the age of 18 including a gold medal from Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Makkal Osai reported.

       The third child of Jeyaraman and Poornam was born on Aug 31, 2003.

       Her wide interest in Thevaram, dance, public speaking, poetry, debating, literature, and her fluency in four languages has brought her much recognition. Among her awards are the International Best Tamil Award from the Maldives and Sri Lanka, and Thirukkural Maamani from India and Myanmar.

       Ilakkiya said she is happy to celebrate her birthday and the National Day with all Malaysians.

       It is uncommon for two top heroines to appear in the same film especially with both given prominent roles.

       Fans were delighted to hear that both stars will have meaty roles as loving sisters in the movie, which has yet to be named.

       The teaser trailer showed the actresses standing together on the steps of a bus, garnering much interest from movie fans on what the storyline of the new movie would be.
