SIBU: A total of 9,289 secondary school students aged 16 and 17 from 33 national and private schools in the Sibu Division will receive their Covid-19 vaccines from Wednesday (Sept 8) to Friday (Sept 10).

       Sibu disaster management committee in a statement said the initiative under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme involved the use of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

       It said three vaccination dispensing centres (PPV) - Sibu Civic Centre, Sibu Jaya Multipurpose hall and Kanowit District Office hall - will handle the vaccination.

       Students from SMK Ulu Balingian would be vaccinated at the Sibu Division Health Office mobile PPV and the Selangau District Health Office mobile PPV.

       The committee advised students to come with their parents or guardians and to bring along their Mykad, a mobile phone with the MySejahtera application and a health card if any.
