PETALING JAYA: Malaysia administered 287,059 Covid-19 vaccine doses on Friday (Sept 10), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
JKJAV said that of this total, 111,027 received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 176,032 individuals had either completed both doses or received a single-dose Covid-19 vaccine.
Sarawak led the way in first doses, administering 19,080 jabs, followed by Perak (16,785), Johor (16,140) and Pahang (14,995).
The most second doses were given in Johor with 31,018 people getting their jab, followed by Kuala Lumpur (25,234), Selangor (21,844) and Sabah (21,447).
JKJAV also said that to date, 38,001,646 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
As of Friday, 90.5% of the country's adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 72% of the adult population were fully vaccinated.
