PETALING JAYA: The main agenda of the Covid-19 Quartet Ministers Meeting that will be held on Tuesday (Sep 21) will be to focus on simplifying the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) to a list of 10 main items, says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

       The Senior Minister (Security) had said last week that there are about 181 SOPs, and the National Security Council would take "two to three weeks" to come up with the simplified version.

       He said that Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, as well as Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu would also be invited to the meeting.

       He said that the Tourism Ministry will give a briefing on the Langkawi travel bubble project and the potential of other travel bubbles, while the Sports Ministry will give a briefing on potential relaxations in the sports sector.

       Hishammuddin also said that Education Minister Datuk Radzi Jidin will be invited to the meeting next week, where he is expected to give a briefing on the vaccinations of students as well as the latest developments in the reopening of schools.

       “The meeting will also give attention to the narrative ahead of the endemic phase which begins at the end of October,” he said in a statement Monday (Sept 20).
