PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported 12,735 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Sept 30), says the Health Ministry.

       This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country since the pandemic began to 2,245,695.

       Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that Sarawak continued to have the most new infections with 2,487 cases on Thursday.

       This was followed by Selangor (1,940), Johor (1,241) and Kelantan (1,232).

       Only three localities reported less than 100 new cases - Perlis with 97, Putrajaya (28) and Labuan (1).
