Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed a royal baby on September 18. But royal fans were left waiting for nearly two weeks before finding out the baby's name.

       On Friday, October 1, Beatrice finally announced her baby daughter's name alongside a cute photo of her baby's footprints.

       Beatrice and Edoardo's bundle of joy is named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, a name with sweet links to two members of the Royal Family.

       The middle name of 'Elizabeth' is, of course, a heartfelt tribute to Beatrice's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

       Featuring the name 'Elizabeth' in baby names is common in the Royal Family, with several royal women holding the name.

       Elizabeth is the middle name of Princess Charlotte, Zara Tindall, Lady Louise Windsor and Princess Beatrice herself, among others.

       Sienna's first name is Italian in origin, a sweet tribute to Edoardo's family.

       But the name Sienna also has sweet links to Beatrice's beloved mother, Sarah Ferguson.

       A friend of the couple reportedly told HELLO!: "They were looking for an Italian name which started with an S for Sarah, to honour the Duchess [Sarah Ferguson], and also reflected the golden rust colour of both the Duchess's hair colour and Beatrice's, which the new baby shares."

       According to babycentre, the meaning of the name Sienna stems "from the Italian city of Siena, which gave its name to a reddish shade of brown."

       Announcing her baby's name on Twitter earlier this month, Beatrice wrote: "We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

       "We are all doing well and Wolfie [Edoardo's son from a previous relationship] is the best big brother to Sienna."

       Edoardo also shared an adorable update on his Instagram, which read: "Our life together has just begun, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things that await us.

       Baby Sienna Elizabeth is Edoardo and Beatrice's first baby together.

       Beatrice also has a stepson named Wolfie from Edoardo's previous relationship.

       The royal baby is 11th in line to the throne behind her mother Beatrice, and she is ahead of her auntie Princess Eugenie.

       Baby Sienna is also the Queen's 12th great-grandchild, and the fourth royal baby to be born this year.

       Lucas Philip Tindall, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor and August Philip Hawke Brooksbank have also been welcomed into the Royal Family this year.
