       KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: For 14 months the decision to ban renewal of expats who are above 60 yrs of age, holding high school diplomas and below were put under mental stress. The Fatwa and Legislation committee stated today that there is no legal decision to ban work permits renewal for expats over the age of sixty and holding high school diplomas and below. The committee further stated that Public Authority for Manpower is not authorized to issue rules and procedures for granting permission to work.

       The Fatwa committee stated that the decision issued by the Manpower authority in August 2020 does not legally exists, it was issued by someone who is not competent enough to issue such decisions, it only shows lack of knowledge and the Director of Public Authority of Manpower is not authorized to issue such rules and procedures for granting work permits.
