PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 64 total Covid-19 fatalities on Sunday (Oct 10), bringing the cumulative number of deaths due to the coronavirus to 27,329 since the pandemic began.
The number of brought-in-dead cases recorded on Oct 10 was 14.
No new deaths were reported in Negri Sembilan, Labuan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
On Sunday, Malaysia reported 7,373 new Covid-19 cases and 10,959 recoveries.
The number of active cases currently stands at 116,596 cases, where 79% are those with mild infections and are undergoing home quarantine.
Another 15,578 (13.4%) are those under isolation at low-risk quarantine facilities (PKRC).
Some 6.5% or 7,746 individuals are in hospital due to Covid-19, of which 759 are in the intensive care unit.
The national ICU utilisation rate is currently at 61.6%.
States with less than 50% ICU utilisation rate are Melaka at 40.6%, Negri Sembilan (35.5%), Pahang (45.8%), Perlis (47.4%) and Labuan (8.7%).
Putrajaya ICU utilisation rate is currently the highest at 85%.
