A MAN has died after a car crashed and burst into flames in a field yesterday - with several others feared injured.
The serious single-vehicle crash happened on the A5 in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, shortly before 4am on Sunday.

Bedfordshire Police confirmed that a man who was travelling in the car had died - and cops believe a number of other people were injured.
The force has since launched Operation Loddon to establish who else was involved.
But police have urged locals not to speculate on the investigation.

A force spokesperson said yesterday: "We were called at approximately 3.40am this morning to reports of a serious single vehicle traffic collision near the Flying Fox roundabout on the A5.
"Emergency services attended the scene following reports of an alight car in a field near Heath and Reach."
"We are asking people to avoid speculation in what is a very difficult and complex set of circumstances.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference Operation Loddon."
