KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has decided to allow inter-district travel to commence from Oct 14 with the overall vaccination rate reaching 70% to date.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said with the latest decision, the ongoing zoning system would be removed.
However, he said the permission is only applicable for fully vaccinated adults, teens aged between 12 and 18, who have received at least one dose of the vaccine and children under 12, who are accompanied by fully vaccinated parents.
He said interstate travel would also be allowed starting from Nov 1.
"Entry into Sabah for social and travel purposes is allowed with the condition that the individual has been fully vaccinated.
"In addition, the individual must take the Covid-19 RT-PCR or RTK-Ag swab (or saliva) test three days before travelling," Hajiji said.
He said children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents while those aged between 12 and 18 must at least have received one dose of the vaccine.
