A ferocious argument blew up after Sherrilyn Speid, 34, from Purfleet, Essex appeared on GB News alongside The Independent's climate change columnist Donnachadh McCarthy. It follows video footage that emerged last week of Ms Speid using her Range Rover to ram Insulate Britain activists after they blocked the road as she attempted to take her 11-year-old son to school.

       Mr Wootton voiced heavy support for the single mum as he suggested she reflected what much of the British public feel about the insulation campaign group, who are calling on the government to insulate all of Britain's leaky housing stock by 2030.

       But a furious Donnachadh McCarthy slammed Mr Wootton for his comments saying "you have just incited murder on this programme!".

       An astonished Dan Wootton couldn’t believe what the columnist was saying as he laughed in the face of the accusations.

       But Mr McCarthy went further, insisting: "You have just urged people to drive over peaceful protesters!

       “It is disgraceful what you are doing! You are inciting people to carry out murder!"

       Mum Sherrilyn, who is an entrepreneur based in Essex, appeared equally surprised as Mr McCarthy reeled off his ferocious accusation.

       Wootton hammered: “I am not for a single second suggesting that Donnachadh!”

       Mr McCarthy refused to hear Mr Wootton’s defence as the pair continued to shout over each other.

       The GB News host then erupted at the claims from the Insulate Britain supporter.

       He slammed: “These people who are choosing to sit in the middle of a road… if you are sitting ion the middle of a highway surely you have got to expect to be hit by a car!

       “But don’t you come on this show and say I’m inciting murder! That is revolting!"

       The interview descended further into chaos as Mr McCarthy continued to throw claims of incitement at Mr Wootton.
