Sherrilyn Speid, 34, from Purfleet, Essex appeared on GB News on Wednesday evening questioning "what do you expect" as she rowed with a supporter of the climate change group who said her actions were irresponsible. It follows video footage that emerged last week of Ms Speid using her Range Rover to push Insulate Britain activists after they blocked the road as she attempted to take her 11-year-old son to school.

Ms Speid erupted at The Independent's climate change columnist Donnachadh McCarthy after he slammed her for her behaviour.

But the single mum was defiant in her position, slamming: “I think the clip speaks for itself.

"No-one is getting rammed into, no-one is getting run over, no-one is getting killed.

“But you are playing with traffic! What do you expect people to do!"

Ms Speid went on to say Britons have "have had enough" of the behaviour of the activists who have disrupted traffic across Britain for weeks.

Despite multiple arrests, injunctions and warnings, the group have vowed to continue in their strikes until the government answers their demands to insulare UK homes.

But the entrepreneur from Essex was having none of it as she went further in her takedown of the group.

She said: "You are in the middle of the road. Cars are going to come!

"It is quite simple! Get out the road, go and do a peaceful protest!"

But Donnachadh McCarthy slammed how Ms Speid should “do her research” on what is happening with climate change as he urged her to read the Chatham House report.

It comes after Ms Speid said she "only gave them a nudge" after being asked to explain why she edged her car into Insulate Britain protesters on October 13.

It follows news that an injunction to ban Insulate Britain protesters from holding demonstrations on London's roads has been extended.

Protestors from the group also have three other injunctions against them, which were granted to National Highways.

They are banned from demonstrations on the M25, around the Port of Dover and on major roads around London.

In a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London on Tuesday, Mr Justice Lavender extended the TfL injunction and granted permission for the list of named individuals it covers to be amended.

The judge said the injunction was extended either until a trial is held in the case or a further court order or until April 8 next year.
