PETALING JAYA: Pantech Group Holdings Bhd’s net profit surged almost 43% year-on-year in the second quarter ended Aug 31 to RM15.31mil.

       The stronger bottom line was achieved due to a better product mix and higher product price for its trading division as well as improved sales of its manufacturing division.

       Revenue for the second quarter remained flattish at RM136.5mil as compared to RM136.3mil in the previous corresponding quarter.

       Earnings per share were 2.02 sen. A one sen dividend was declared by the group.

       For the first half of financial year 2022, Pantech’s net profit jumped by almost six-fold to RM30.5mil compared with RM5.17mil a year earlier.
