Delays are expected between junction 24 for Bridgwater South and junction 23 for Bridgwater North.

       The incident took place on the northbound carriageway.

       A report from Inrix reads: "Reports of M5 Northbound partially blocked, heavy traffic due to accident from J24 A38 Taunton Road (Bridgwater South) to J23 A39 (Bridgwater North).”

       One lane had been previously closed on the M5 today from J22 after an accident.

       A traffic update earlier on in the morning following this incident read: "One lane closed and slow traffic due to recovery work and earlier accident on M5 Northbound from J22 (Burnham-on-sea) to J21 A370 (Weston-super-mare).

       "Lane one (of three) is closed."

       However, an update was later given in the day that all lanes had reopened.

       Traffic service Inrix said: "All lanes have been re-opened. Travel time is around 45 minutes."
