The guard swings a vicious right hook, sending the lad crumpling into a heap on the floor.
He then walks around the man, who is seemingly unconscious and wearing a matching white tracksuit, with his fist raised.
The guard grabs him by his hood before hauling him out of the shop on his back and dumping him on the pavement.
The violence unfolded as shocked staff and shoppers looked on.
Another video taken outside the store shows a man returning what appears to be a mobile phone that fell from the man's tracksuit bottoms.
Asda and Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
