A 17-year-old boy was stabbed with scissors on a CTA Red Line platform in the Loop early Wednesday, police said.
About 1:26 a.m., the boy got into a verbal altercation with a man and a woman while on the State Street platform, according to a police notification. The man then chased the boy with a broom and the woman stabbed him in the leg with scissors. The altercation took place in the 200 block of South State Street, between the Jackson and Monroe Red Line stations.
The Chicago Fire Department took the wounded teen to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, according to the police notification.
The offenders fled the scene and no one is in custody.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
