HERO binmen were able to rescue a woman who was being pulled behind a building and sexually assaulted, witnesses said.
It comes as 42-year-old Alkasur Rahman has been charged with sexual assault and attempted kidnapping following the attack that took place in Rochdale on Wednesday afternoon.

According to witnesses, the men jumped out of their lorry and left it by traffic lights when they saw the woman being dragged behind a warehouse.
Dad-of-three Aftab Khan, 42, said: "They jumped out of the vehicle when they saw the woman in trouble.
"They ran after the man and then grabbed him and called the police.
"They were heroes for saving the woman.
"I think one of the binmen got to her first and pulled her away from him."

Barbara Howard, 61, who works nearby, said: "All the traffic was backed up behind the bin lorry.
"They just ran out when they saw her being attacked.
"They ran down a road as she was being pulled away behind a building.
"They acted really quickly and were amazing.
"It is very scary to think a woman can be dragged off the street in broad light and attacked.
"I don't feel safe here at the moment."
Cops rushed to the scene at John Street just before 2.30 pm yesterday after reports that members of the public had detained a man that they believed had been attempting to kidnap a woman.
Police established upon arrival that a stranger had attempted to drag her behind a building when members of the public intervened.
Rahman has now been charged with attempt to commit an offence, namely kidnapping, with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence as well as sexual assault by touching.
