Police launched an appeal to find Ruby Petty-Linton, who was last seen at around 8pm on Monday in the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.

       Police said on Tuesday morning that she had been found.

       The youngster was believed to be wearing a black hooded top, a white t-shirt and black leggings when she disappeared.

       She was also wearing grey and black Nike trainers.

       Cleveland Police asked anyone with information on the 12-year-old's whereabouts to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 186108.

       In an update on Twitter this morning, the force said she has been found.

       A tweet said: "12-year-old Ruby has been located safely!

       "Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal!"
