Two men were fatally shot in separate incidents Friday evening in the District, police said.

       One man was reported shot about 5 p.m. in the 3600 block of Minnesota Avenue SE, said Officer Sean Hickman, a police spokesman.

       The other was found shot about 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Taussig Place NE, Hickman said.

       Neither incident was formally described as a homicide as of late Friday, Hickman said, but homicide detectives were sent to investigate each.
