PETALING JAYA: A 15-year-old boy stabbed his brother and his friend following a heated argument at a block of flats near Taman Putra Damai in Kelana Jaya here.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said police were alerted to the incident at 12.08pm on Sunday (Nov 7).
"We received information about a man who was stabbed and rushed to the scene.
"When our personnel arrived at the scene, one of the victims, a 24-year-old man, was lying on the ground bleeding from the left side of his chest and stomach.
"Another victim, a 19-year-old male who was friends with the other victim, also suffered injuries to his back," he said in a statement on Monday (Nov 8).
He said the 15-year-old suspect was sitting on a chair near the victims.
"The two victims were rushed to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for treatment while the suspect was taken into custody.
"Our investigations revealed the incident occurred after the 24-year-old victim confronted the suspect, who is his brother, for going on a motorcycle ride without informing his elder sister.
"A fight occurred between the two and the second victim tried to break up the scuffle but was injured by a folding knife used by the suspect," he said, adding that the suspect would be remanded to facilitate further investigations.
He said the suspect has a prior record for theft.
ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said the case has been classified as causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons.
