Oak Lawn police said Monday afternoon they two people in custody following an alleged carjacking in Indiana that resulted in a pursuit.
Police said on Twitter a short time ago that a second person had been taken into custody after one person was apprehended in the area of 95th Street and Oak Park Avenue.
Earlier this afternoon, police were asking people to avoid the intersection and for residents to shelter in place as they searched for an armed suspect who had fled from a vehicle on foot.
Police say on Twitter that the alleged carjacking originated in Gary, Indiana, although no other details were immediately available.
