GEORGE TOWN: Melaka voters have been urged to use the power of the ballot box to show that they have had enough of political frogs.
MCA vice-president Datuk Tan Teik Cheng (pic) said voters should use the state election in Melaka to send a loud message and “teach” Pakatan Harapan candidates that they are fed up with political frogs and would not be easily misled.
“Melaka voters are urged to see through DAP’s veneer.
“It is high time DAP stops pretending to stand on the moral high ground.
“On one hand, the Rocket (the DAP symbol) colluded with four political frogs to topple the Melaka state government. Then, on the other hand, DAP rebuked its allies’ relationship with the leaping politicians,” he said in a statement Wednesday (Nov 10).
Tan said DAP has regularly exhorted that it rejects all political frogs, adding that it even proposed an enactment on anti-hopping laws.
“However, as early as Oct 4, when Melaka Pakatan chairman Adly Zahari chaired a press conference, DAP’s state assemblymen Kerk Chee Yee, Seah Shoo Chin, Damian Yeo Shen Li, and other Pakatan assemblymen had agreed to organise and form a new state government together with the political frogs. These are facts which DAP cannot dispute.
“Public ethics demand that DAP and Pakatan halt all these political shenanigans.
“When DAP wants to rocket to power, it supports political frogs.
“However, to hoodwink voters, DAP presents a noble fa?ade by claiming to be against its allies, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu (Mat Sabu).
“Unfortunately, DAP’s conduct is identical to Anwar’s and the frogs,” he added.
