MELAKA: The continuous infighting between DAP and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) had to be managed almost daily under the then Pakatan Harapan-led administration in Perak, claims former Perak mentri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic).
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president said DAP and Amanah had continuously worked behind one another for their own interests.
"When I was the MB, I had to manage the quarrels daily.
"And every Wednesday, prior to the exco meeting, we have to hold three or four separate ones before the real exco meeting in order to avoid fights," he said in his speech broadcast live on Facebook late Thursday (Nov 11) night.
He also noted that DAP had printed a different state manifesto after its leadership volunteered to print it out.
"At that point, I was doing the state manifesto for the 14th General Election, which was agreed by all parties.
"However, the DAP leadership volunteered to print it out and it was supported by Amanah.
"In the manifesto, they printed something we had never agreed upon," said Faizal.
He also claimed that there were instances when DAP and Amanah leaders would approach him to implement things without telling the other parties.
He called on Melaka voters to reject such leaders who only fought for their own interests.
