       YOKOHAMA -- A 22-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 15 for allegedly driving a car recklessly while leaning out of a window on the Metropolitan Expressway's Bayshore Route.

       Kanagawa Prefectural Police arrested corporate employee Iori Mizutani, from Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture, on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act by acting in concert with another person in a dangerous manner.

       Mizutani and four others, who have already been referred to prosecutors on the same charge, allegedly drove a total of four vehicles, taking up the whole road and driving in a zigzag repeatedly in collusion, on the expressway's Bayshore Route in the city of Kawasaki's Kawasaki Ward for several minutes from around 10:35 p.m. on Feb. 22. Mizutani has reportedly admitted to the allegations.

       According to the prefectural police's Expressway Traffic Police Unit, Mizutani was driving as he leaned out of a car window while putting his left foot on the gas pedal and using his left hand to control the steering wheel.
