PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded another 4885 Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry reported on Monday (Nov 22).
In a Twitter post, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said cumulatively, the country had recorded 2,591,486 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
Earlier, the Health Ministry had said through its CovidNow portal that a total of 24 new Covid-19 fatalities were recorded on Sunday (Nov 22), bringing the cumulative death toll to 30,002.
Of the number, six deaths were classified as “brought-in-dead”.
The number of active cases currently stands at 68,790 cases, with 80% or 55,026 being patients with mild infections who are undergoing home quarantine.
Another 7,792 or 11.3% patients are those under isolation at low-risk quarantine centres (PKRC) while the number of those being hospitalised are 5,431 or 7.9%.
There are currently 274 patients in intensive care units (ICU) who do not require ventilator support, while another 267 are on ventilators.
