A foot-tall crucifix was taken by burglars this month from a church in Gaithersburg, Md., city police said.

       Two burglars forced their way into the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Gaithersburg between 9:45 and 11 p.m. on Nov. 13, Gaithersburg police said.

       Once inside, burglars took a 12-inch-tall polished bronze crucifix, police said.

       The intrinsic value of the crucifix was not given in a statement released last week by Gaithersburg police.

       One antique bronze 14-inch crucifix was listed online for $119.
