Bobbi-Anne McLeod disappeared last Saturday evening after she left her home in Plymouth, on her way to meet friends in the city centre. A woman's body has since been found by police near Bovisand, South Hams last night, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed.

While formal identification is yet to take place, Bobbi-Anne's family have been informed of the development and are being supported by investigators.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Ms McLeod's brother, Lee McLeod shared a heartbreaking childhood picture of the two of them, paying tribute to his "beautiful and talented" sister.

The picture showed the two siblings smiling in their primary school uniforms.

In a message posted with the picture, Mr McLeod wrote: "Until we meet again sis. I love you.

"You didn't deserve this, such a beautiful and talented girl, and to have you as my little sister, the adventure and journey we had will always be treasured.

       "Now go rest easy."

When Ms McLeod first went missing, her brother begged for help on social media.

In one post, he wrote: "I’m begging everyone single person in Plymouth help me search everywhere search everything.

       "Someone has my f***ing sister.

"Please, please people - you hear anything, see anything, tell me."

Officers were yesterday seen carrying out painstaking fingertip searches on grassland.

Headphones and a pouch of tobacco believed to belong to the teenager were found at a bus stop.

Speaking about her disappearance, Chief Superintendent Matt Longman said: "This is weighing heavy on the people of Plymouth tonight, it really is.

"And I would just like to send my thoughts to the friends and family of Bobbi-Anne; that actually feels like it's a relatively inadequate thing to say at such a time."

Meanwhile, Luke Pollard, Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, described the incident as "devastating".

Writing on Twitter, he said: "It is devastating news for our city that a body has been discovered in the search for missing Bobbi-Anne.

"My thoughts and love are with the family.

"We await news from the Police but this is another dark day for our city.

"Let's pull together in the same way we did after Keyham."
