SIBU: The Rafflesia tuan mudae plant at the Gunung Gading National Park in Lundu has started blooming on Nov 24.
The Sarawak Forestry Corporation said the blooming process for this plant, which is the largest flower in the world, lasts for six days until Nov 29.
"This time the flower is 67cm and there are five petals," it said in a statement.
The Park is located 200m from its headquarters. Nature lovers who want to see the flower, must first register with its management.
Visitors must also need to be accompanied by a park guide who will walk them to the flower.
The corporation added that all visitors must adhere to the standard operating procedure of the park at all times while enjoying its beauty.
