State Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the Sawit Biru cluster involved a cleaning staff as the index case, adding that further screenings are ongoing.
Sabah’s new cases on Thursday dropped to 109 cases from 622 the day before, as districts like Kota Kinabalu saw a decrease of cases from 109 to 72 today, and Ranau registering lower new infections at 51 compared to 65 previously, he added.
“Tuaran saw a drop of 31 cases and Kota Belud saw a reduction of 10 cases. However, these four districts mentioned remained the highest contributors to daily cases in Sabah,” said Masidi.
Out of the total 513 cases, 500 patients are under Category 1 and Category two which is asymptomatic or having mild symptoms, he said.
