KOTA KINABALU: The search and rescue operation for a 14-year-old girl who is feared to have drowned in waters off Sandakan on Thursday (Nov 25), resumed on Friday (Nov 26) morning.

       Earlier on Thursday night, the Sandakan district Fire and Rescue team responded to the distress call alerting about the incident at Kampung Senawang, Batu 19 there at around 8.50pm.

       A boat reportedly capsized while it was on its way from Kg Senawang Laut to Kg Senawang Darat at around 6pm.

       Four passengers on board were thrown into the waters, but three were pulled out and saved by villagers, while one victim has still not been found.
