IPOH: Perak Perikatan Nasional has yet to decide on whether it would contest all the parliamentary and state seats in the state during the 15th General Election (GE15).
State Perikatan chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic) said they had yet to hold any discussions on the matter as there was still work to be done.
The Parti Bersatu Pribumi Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president said Perikatan still needed to strengthen its teamwork between component parties and to prepare its election machinery.
"Cooperation within Perikatan still needs work.
"We also need to ensure all efforts to help the rakyat are our priority," he said in a press conference after attending a blood donation programme in Kampung Tersusun Tawas Tambahan here on Sunday (Nov 28).
"Then we see how many seats we want to contest," the Youth and Sports Minister added.
Pahang Perikatan chairman Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah had reportedly said that they intended to contest all 14 Parliament seats and 42 state seats in Pahang in GE15.
Faizal, who is also Tambun MP and state Bersatu chairman, said he had also attended the party's division meeting on Sunday.
"In Tambun, we are all committed to work hard as a team and for Perikatan.
"We will support whoever is contesting the Tambun parliamentary and Manjoi and Hulu Kinta state seats," he said.
