TOKYO -- Hidetoshi Tanaka, the chairman of the board at Nihon University which boasts the largest enrollment for an academic institute in Japan, was arrested on Nov. 29 by a special investigation unit of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.
Prosecutors arrested Tanaka, 74, on suspicion of evading about 53 million yen (approximately $466,500) in income tax in 2018 and 2020.
