It happened on the eastbound carriageway between junction 27 Highcross and junction 26 Malpas Road. Traffic Wales tweeted that police and traffic officers are on their way to the scene.

       Cameras show traffic starting to queue in the area.

       In an update at 8.11am, Traffic Wales tweeted that a vehicle has been removed from the carriageway and is awaiting recovery.
