THIS is the terrifying moment an "Uber driver" told his female passenger "stay in my car" as she desperately pleaded with him to let her out.

       The woman shared the terrifying conversation on TikTok, with the driver heard telling her he wanted her to stay with him for hours.

       She said the experience, which is understood to have happened recently in Birmingham, was "honestly so scary".

       In the footage, which appears to be filmed at night, a man can be heard saying: "No, no, no you will stay in my car."

       She replies: "No I don't want to stay in your car."

       He questions her "why" and she repeats that she doesn't want to stay in the car, beginning to sound upset.

       The driver continues: "Because you don't want to go back to sleep.

       "You don't want to go back to home. You will work with me until five."

       The woman repeats: "No I'll go home" as the driver continues to insist that she will stay with him, and laughing.

       In a second clip he can again be heard telling her: "You don't want to go home."

       She tells him: "No, I'm not going to stay with you I'm going to go home."

       The original poster has not confirmed if she made it home safely - but has been commenting on posts since.

       Social media users flocked to comment on the creepy video, with one woman branding it her "worst fear".

       Bea Ingelby said: "The fact that this is Uber terrifies me too.

       "I have horrendous taxi driver anxiety and thought I was safe because Uber is tracked."

       Paige Forrester replied: "No this is my worst fear stop."

       Alias Shake said: "Why do us girls have it so hard in this world?"

       An Uber spokesperson said: “There is no place for this kind of behaviour in the Uber community and we investigate thoroughly when reports are made to us.

       "Typically we temporarily suspend drivers' access to the platform during investigations before taking appropriate action which can include a driver's permanent removal from the platform.

       “Over the last three years we have launched a range of new safety features, including an emergency assistance button, our first-ever 24/7 support phone centre and the ability to share your live journey with loved ones.”

       The Sun and Uber have not been able to confirm if the incident did take place in an Uber.
