'Let's get out!' Britons order Boris to TEAR UP Brexit deal and stand up to EU 'clowns'

As the EU refuses to remove the role of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) from the Northern Ireland protocol, Express.co.uk readers warned Mr Johnson it's now time to stand up to Brussels. One reader named Avrio said: "We, the people voted leave, not half in/half out. "May/Robbins signed us up to all these problems and it ended up with Boris/Frost trying to dig us out of it.

"Show some bottle Boris and go to WTO. The European Banks are already panicking about access to The City.

"Wasn't The City moving to the EU?

"The more we try to negotiate with these clowns, the more vindictive they get. We voted out, let's get out."

Another reader called The Taxilady said: "It's what we voted for.

"Deal not worth the paper it's written on.

"It only satisfies Remainers and snowflakes.

"Patriots expect the UK to make its way, for good or ill by its own means, not at the bottom of an EU boot."

Miserablereader added: "We voted to leave as a United Kingdom, we are as one with Northern Ireland so let's get it done Boris.

"Oh, and by the way, every time you refer to the French as our friends, you lose more votes!"

Readers reacted following comments made by Ben Harris-Quinney, chairman of the Bow Group think tank.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, he claimed the issue over the ECJ must be resolved soon.

Mr Harris-Quinney said: "The EU remains unwilling to make significant concessions on goods and use of the ECJ as final court of arbitration.

"The EU began by formally refusing to renegotiate the Northern Irish Protocol, but we are now effectively in a renegotiation, so there is a genuine softening and that should be embraced.

"The UK was the party to begin the renegotiation, and there is no point entering into that process and not solving the problem.

"We need to resolve the issue now and if the EU are unwilling to budge then it is better to scrap the entire deal than to continue a circumstance that clearly is not working, creating only further discord and uncertainty."

Within the Northern Ireland protocol, the European Court of Justice has oversight on the agreement and any future disputes.

With the UK now out of the EU, Lord Frost has called for the removal of the ECJ.
