JEMPOL: Police here have handed compound notices to two people for traveling interstate despite not being fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Jempol OCPD Supt Hoo Chang Hook said the two, aged 31 and 21, were stopped during a routine roadblock at KM1 of Jalan Rompin-Pasir just after midnight on Thursday (Dec 3).
"When asked, the two said they were from Felda Jengka 20 in Pahang and were heading to Felda Pasir Besar in Gemas in Negri Sembilan," said Supt Hoo.
"Upon further inspection, we found that both men had only received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and did not get approval from the police to travel interstate," he said in a statement.
They were slapped with a RM2,000 compound notice each for failing to adhere to standard operating procedures under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.
