A car drove into a library in Northwest Washington on Tuesday, causing minor injuries to a nanny with a baby stroller who had to get out of its path.

A spokeswoman for D.C. police said officers responded to the crash at the Shaw Library in the 1600 block of 7th Street NW after the car left the roadway, forcing a nanny with a child in a stroller to flee. The nanny had minor injuries, according to police, and the child was not injured.
