A car drove into a library in Northwest Washington on Tuesday, causing minor injuries to a nanny with a baby stroller who had to get out of its path.
A spokeswoman for D.C. police said officers responded to the crash at the Shaw Library in the 1600 block of 7th Street NW after the car left the roadway, forcing a nanny with a child in a stroller to flee. The nanny had minor injuries, according to police, and the child was not injured.

Police said the driver, who was not identified, declined medical attention and was not taken into custody as investigators determine what happened. Further information about the incident was not immediately available.
Public records show the vehicle involved in the crash has two outstanding speeding tickets.
