NAGOYA -- A traffic accident involving 28 vehicles was reported in the Aichi Prefecture city of Komaki on the morning of Dec. 10, police said.
Komaki Police Station received information that the accident occurred at around 8:45 a.m. on National Route 41 in the city. According to prefectural police and the local fire department, two men aged 54 and 71 have been seriously injured and 22 people sustained minor injuries.
It is believed that a large trailer collided with a car in a traffic jam, causing a chain-reaction crash. Police have closed the area to traffic.
