NEV Wilshire, the star of the BBC reality show The Call Centre, has died.

       A former colleague of the Welsh businessman confirmed the sad news today.

       Circumstances surrounding his death are not yet known.

       Tributes have poured in for the public speaker and entrepreneur on social media.

       Hayley Pearce, who starred alongside Nev on the BBC show, posted a heartbreaking tribute.

       "He was more than a boss to me," the former tea lady wrote.

       "He was like family. The memories we made together are ones I will cherish and talk about for the rest of my life.

       "I can't thank him enough for believing in me. He changed my life. RIP. Truly gutted."

       Nev was described by the BBC as "a boss quite unlike any other."

       "Whether he’s leading his new recruits in a sing-a-long to One Direction, kicking footballs at naughty sales agents in the butt stocks, or encouraging his staff to write poetry – Nev is a boss with a unique style of management all his own," a bio of the boss said.

       "A die hard Swansea City fan and season ticket holder, Nev was born and bred in Swansea and wouldn’t move anywhere else for all the money in the World.

       "He describes himself as one of the good guys, like Napoleon..."

       The Call Centre first aired on the BBC in 2013 and followed Nev and his 700 colleagues as they worked.

       Nev became famous for his early morning singalongs - one of his trademark songs being The Killer's "Mr Brightside".
