Intense winds of up to 90mph will hit this evening before easing off in the morning - affecting parts of the Western Isles.
The Met Office warned: "Strong winds are possible during Sunday evening and overnight, before easing quickly during Monday morning.
"There is potential for wind gusts to reach 80 to 85 mph, and in excess of 90 mph in a few locations, particularly over the Western Isles.
"The strongest gusts will be from a westerly or southwesterly direction. However, the very strongest winds may remain just offshore."
Areas in and around the Highlands & Eilean Siar and Strathclyde will be battered by the forceful gales.
And another yellow wind warning is in place for northern parts of Scotland, lasting until midday tomorrow.
The second "danger to life" warning will bring damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.

The Met Office said tonight will be windy over England and Wales - but increasingly breezy Scotland and Northern Ireland.
And tomorrow, there will be very strong winds at first in the far north.
Otherwise, winds will be easing for most Brits - with some blustery showers expected in the northwest.
It will be rainy in Wales and central England on Monday - becoming heavier later on in the day.
Netweather forecaster Nick Finnis said: “Sunday will be a breezy day, windy across the northwest, with gales or severe gales developing later in the day across western Scotland, as a deep low moves northeast to the west of Scotland.
“But the brisk south-westerly wind will bring rather mild air – with temperatures widely reaching double figures, as high as 13C in the south – which is way above average.”

But the week in between Christmas and New Year is will be chilly, with higher chances of frost and fog as Brits enjoy the holidays with friends and family.
The Met Office said: "Temperatures are expected to be near normal for most, but milder in the northwest and perhaps turning rather cold in the south in time for Christmas.
"It is likely to remain settled for the final week of 2021, with an increasing risk of frost and fog for Christmas and New Year."
It comes after Storm Barra battered Britain earlier this week, with swathes of the country left cleaning up its mess.
The storm unleashed hurricane-force winds, torrential rain, snow and left thousands without power.
