MELAKA: The first (special) meeting of the 15th Melaka State Assembly will be held for four days from Dec 27 to 30.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali said the state assembly will only sit from 9.30am to 1pm throughout the four days in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) and other regulations set by the National Security Council (NSC) and the Health Ministry (MOH).
"The meeting is a special meeting to be held following the formation of the new state government after the conclusion of the 15th state election on Nov 20.
"Among the agenda of the meeting is the tabling of the state Budget 2022, the appointment of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, as well as the swearing in of the state assembly members,” he said in a statement here on Friday (Dec 10).
In another development, Sulaiman said the state executive council in its meeting on Dec 8 had decided that all state executive councillors must prepare a Work Framework Target (SKK) for their own portfolio, just like the Annual Work Target (SKT) for the civil servants.
He said, the SKK, however, must take into account the pledges contained in the Barisan Nasional manifesto for the state election.
"The SKK must also be done for the first 100 days, one year, two years, three years, four years and five years, apart from new plans to be implemented according to their portfolios,” he said.
At the same time, Sulaiman said the state government would introduce key performance indicators (KPI) and a report card system to assess the performance of the councillors.
He said they would be required to table their SKK, KPI and report cards in the first week of every month.
"The state government has also set up a special committee, the Manifesto Monitoring Committee, to monitor the implementation of the pledges in the manifesto among the councillors,” he added.- Bernama
