KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd (MGRC) continued its downtrend for the fourth straight day on Friday.
The counter tumbled 18 sen, or 22.56% to 64 sen at 9.22am, making it one of the top losers on Bursa Malaysia. In the past five days, the counter has fallen over 72%. It is currently the most actively traded counter with over 80 million shares done.
MGRC was issued with an unusual market activity (UMA) query on Monday. The group told Bursa Malaysia that it was not aware of any corporate development that could have caused the sharp fall in its share price.
MGRC said it was not aware of any corporate development, rumour, report or explanation that may have accounted for the trading activity.
It also said the company is in compliance with Bursa Securities' Listing Requirements on immediate disclosure obligations.
For the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2021, MGRC posted a net profit of RM239,000 on revenue of RM9.31mil.
