PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Bhd has launched Bursa Digital Research (BDR), a multi-faceted research portal that will provide investors with an added source of research and data analysis with the objective of improving financial literacy and facilitating informed investment decision making.
According to the stock exchange operator, the BDR also offers public listed companies (PLCs) a digital touch point to improve their visibility, enable better understanding of business operations and value propositions, while facilitating price discovery for their investors.
This platform complements the Bursa Broadcast platform which seeks to enrich investors’ capital market understanding.
“BDR aims to provide an additional resource to help investors gain market insight and keep abreast of the latest developments in the stock market.” said Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift (pic), CEO of Bursa Malaysia, in a statement.
“Research data and market information are crucial to making informed investment decisions. This will act as a catalyst for greater investor participation on Bursa Malaysia,” he added.
The BDR portal has four main content categories, namely market updates (in-house research analysis), Bursa Blitz (frequently asked questions on matters related to PLCs’ businesses), initial public offering (a factsheet offering a quick read about latest IPO launches and a quarterly performance report), and exchange traded fund or monthly performance reports.
