KOTA KINABALU: Nearly 20% of new Covid-19 cases in Sabah involves children under age 12.
Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters Datuk Masidi Manjun said out of the 287 new cases, more than 50 were children who were ineligible for the vaccine.
He said 54 of the cases, or 19%, were foreigners.
“Out of the total cases, 277 are in Categories 1 and 2,” he said yesterday.
Masidi said three cases were in Categories 3, 4 and 5.
“As for seven others, their diagnoses are still awaiting verification from the Health Department,” he said.
The three districts with the highest number of cases were Kota Kinabalu (57), Papar (37) and Ranau (33).
